Notes from the Principal

Federal Government College, Enugu is one of the Unity Colleges established by the Federal Government of Nigeria as a means of fostering the spirit of National Unity among Nigerian Youths. It is a co-educational institution which was opened on 11 January, 1973.

The college has a modern library, which is the centre of our academic activities. The curriculum is comprehensive in scope in keeping with the 2-tier system of National Policy on Education.
The school has also witnessed monumental achievements in infrastructural developments as well as a Curriculum and co-curriculum that open up a whole lot of opportunities for students to excel in academics, sports and firm believers in service to God and fellow men.

Upon graduation, students tend to fully understand the privilege as well as the benefits of quality and an excellent education that they have received from the school. This they can see for themselves when they interact with other students from other schools in their university environs.

It is with a deep sense of humility that I would say that the students are living out our vision; to be responsible men and women of the society as well as charting a new course in academic field for others to follow.

We are proud to say that we take our work seriously, because we believe that the by-products of our hardwork are for the total liberation of this country from its present state to something we all hope it would become in the near future.
